Wine School - Advanced level

A comprehensive course designed for all wine lovers who enjoy a good wine drop and know little about wine as well as for those who wish to further expand their wine knowledge

A comprehensive course designed for everyone who enjoys a good wine drop and wants to learn more about wine. This course includes learning about the most famous wine varieties, regions, reading wine labels, matching wine and food, as well as learning about proper wine tasting, wine service and wine evaluation. The course is designed so that in addition to the theoretical part, students are practically trained in how to taste and evaluate the quality of wine, which implies the tasting of over 50 different wines from all over the world. Through this approach to education, students will learn how to recognize good and bad characteristics of wine, wine aromas and bouquet, different vintages, varieties, regions … Besides the lectures on wines, the course also includes lectures on fortified wines and spirits (brandy, whiskey, bourbon, vodka, rum, gin, tequila, liqueurs).

The course is open for all wine lovers and it does not require any previous knowledge about wine. It is also intended for those who already possess a certain degree of knowledge but simply wish to learn more on this subject whether or not they wish to pursue a professional career in the wine business (sommeliers, tour guides specialized for wine tourism, wine merchants…) or just want to expand their knowledge in this area.

Each lesson includes wine and food tastings.

Upon successful completion of the exam, all students will receive the certificate of  the Wine Academy of Serbia.

Price includes all of the necessary materials for the exam (textbook), lectures, all wine and food which will be tasted during the course as well as the certificate of the Wine Academy of Serbia (for those who pass the exam).

Cancellation is accepted until 20 days before the start of the course. An administrative fee of 4500,00 dinars will be rejected, and the rest of the course fee will be returned to the participant (minus the cost of the study material whose value depends on the level of the course). Transfer of the confirmed date for attending the course can be made to another participant or another course, 20 working days before the start of the reserved course, with a compensation of 4500,00, which is deducted from the already paid amount as well as the costs of additional study material. Transfer cannot be made at the next date of the course. All transfers are subject to availability. If a participant has cancelled a confirmed course reservation within 20 working days prior to starting the course or at any time after the beginning of the course, there is no refund. The course fee will be refunded in full if the Wine Academy of Serbia changes the start date of the course or cancel the course due to insufficient number of applicants. The notice will be sent 10 working days before the scheduled start date of the course. When registering for a course, it is important that the student provide the correct data and the address for the delivery of the study material (necessary books for the appropriate course) and will assure us that someone will be at the specified address to receive the package within the prescribed time limit. If the study material returns to the distribution center, as it has not been successfully received by the contracting authority, it will automatically lead to additional costs of returning the study material to the cost of the orderer, ie the course’s attendant.
